The Scents That Inspired My Latest Perfume
So we have reached the final chapter in the Brown-eyed Brooks scent story! We started with Rose, with a hint of spice, and then went onto the woody and earthy tones of this winter perfume. But just as Louise Brooks was one not to follow societal norms of the 1920s and was the epitome of flapper age, our perfume needed something to give it that certain “je ne sais pas”; that something was fir balsam (Abies balsamea).
For the grande finale of this perfume, we’ve saved the best until last: Coffee! Coffee is a representation of the times as well as presenting a deep, dark, mysterious side to the perfume, in reverence to Louise Brooks herself.
